    What the repair involves

Audio equipment is board-level, specialty work. Every audio job starts with a vintage audio diagnostic, which carries a bench fee that goes toward the repair. We open the unit, trace the fault on the board, and explain what we found and what it will take before any repair work begins. Depending on the problem, that can include cleaning controls and switches, replacing worn components, resoldering cracked joints, or other component-level repair. It's the same microsoldering and board-level skill we use every day on phones and consoles.

Older gear sometimes needs parts that are hard to find. If a part has to be sourced, we'll let you know and keep you updated.

    How long it takes

Audio repairs take longer than a phone screen. The timeline depends on the fault and on parts availability, and we'll give you an estimate after the diagnostic.

    Bringing in your gear

Bigger pieces are easy to unload with parking right out front. If you're shipping a unit through our mail-in service, pack it carefully, since vintage equipment is fragile in transit.

    Warranty

Audio repairs come with our 180-day warranty on the parts we install and our workmanship. Motherboard or main board failures aren't covered, and neither are liquid damage cleaning or data recovery. See the full warranty terms.
