What to do right away

• Power the device off and leave it off. Don't keep testing it.
• Don't charge it or plug it in.
• Skip the rice. It doesn't remove the corrosion that causes the real damage.
• If you can safely remove a case or SIM tray, go ahead.
• Bring it in as soon as possible, and tell us what liquid it was and when it happened.

What liquid damage cleaning involves

Every liquid damage job starts with a liquid damage diagnostic, which carries a bench fee that goes toward the repair. We open the device, inspect the board under magnification, and clean the corrosion from the board and connectors with specialized equipment. Then we test what's working and what isn't. Sometimes cleaning alone brings a device back. Other times a part, like the screen, battery or charging port, or a board-level component, also needs replacing, and we'll explain your options and quote before doing more work. Because we do microsoldering, we can often get further with a liquid-damaged board than shops that only swap parts.

If what you really need is your photos and files, tell us at check-in. We'll focus on getting the device working long enough to save them, or point you to our data recovery service.

How long it takes

Liquid damage cleaning isn't a quick swap. Turnaround depends on how much corrosion we find, and we'll give you a timeline after the diagnostic.

About warranty

Liquid damage cleaning has no warranty. Corrosion can keep spreading after the cleaning, even when the device works again, and successful repair can't be promised. We'll do everything we can to get it working, and we want to be upfront about that. See the full terms.
